Elopement packages in Madeira
Planning, scouting, permits, guiding and award-winning photography. One day, two, or three. You show up. I handle the rest.
All-inclusive elopement packages in Madeira, without the resort script
Madeira is an island built from fire. Cliffs that drop straight into the Atlantic, laurel forests older than most countries, levada paths that lead somewhere almost nobody goes. It is one of the best places on earth to get married with nobody watching.
Most couples looking for elopement packages in Madeira land on two bad options. Either a resort ceremony that could have happened anywhere, or a DIY plan that eats the whole trip in logistics: permits, road closures, weather windows, which viewpoint is packed at 8am and which one is empty at 6am.
I do the third thing. I scout the locations, I handle the permits, I build the timeline around the light and the weather, and I drive you there myself. Then I photograph it. What you do is wake up, get dressed, and pay attention to each other.
Every package below is fully planned. Accommodation and food are yours to choose, and I send you a custom itinerary with the hotel links so booking takes about ten minutes.
Two things behind every elopement package in Madeira you cannot fake
Travel mastery
Certified travel agent. Fifty plus destinations planned end to end. I know what a permit takes, what a road looks like in February, and where the crowds actually are.
Artistic vision
250+ international photography awards. No stiff poses, no shot list recited back at you. I guide movement and then get out of the way.
The person behind your Madeira elopement package
I am a nature lover, an adventure enthusiast, and a card-carrying introvert. For thirteen years I have photographed and planned elopements for couples who did not want a wedding, in 24 countries and counting.
Your day should be about the two of you. Not a seating chart, not a schedule you resent by noon. That is why I plan the whole thing and then guide you through it, so the only decision you make on the day is where you want to stand.
Madeira is one of the few places where I can put you on a cliff at sunrise, in a laurel forest by midday, and above the clouds by evening. That range is rare, and it is why this island keeps pulling me back.

The three elopement packages in Madeira
Same planning. Same guiding. Same photography. The only real difference is how much time the island gets to give you, and how far off the map we can go with it.
Ember, the full-day elopement package in Madeira
One day, done properly. We start before sunrise on a ridge that takes some effort to reach, follow a levada into the laurel forest while the light is still soft, and finish somewhere high enough that the clouds sit below us. Four or five locations, no rushing between them, because the route is already planned down to the drive time.
What I handle

- Permits, access, and any paperwork the island requires
- A timeline designed around sunrise, weather and crowd patterns
- I drive, I guide, and I adjust in real time if the weather turns

Fanal, the 2-day elopement package in Madeira
Named after the old laurel forest that disappears into fog and reappears an hour later. Two days changes the whole shape of an elopement. Day one is the arrival: an adventure day, no vows, no pressure, just the two of you getting used to being photographed. Day two is your ceremony, in the location we chose because it was right, not because it was close.
What I handle
- Scouting across two days, in two different parts of the island
- A two-day plan that uses both coasts and the interior
- Permits, access and route logistics for every stop
- Real weather flexibility, because we can swap the days around
What you get
- 2 full days of photography coverage and guiding
- 4 to 5 locations, in genuinely different landscapes
- All my travel costs included

Dragon, the 3-day signature elopement package in Madeira
Named for the dragon trees that have been standing on this island longer than anyone can account for. Three days is where Madeira stops being a backdrop and starts being part of the story. Engagement-style photos on day one, ceremony on day two, day-after portraits on the final morning. Three regions, three atmospheres, and enough room in the plan for the unexpected detour that always ends up being the best part.
What I handle
- Scouting across all three days with a full curated selection
- A route that reaches places most visitors never get to
- Each day designed differently, so nothing feels repetitive
- Maximum weather flexibility across the whole window
- I drive, guide and adjust everything as we go

What you can count on with any elopement package in Madeira
Effortless communication
Email or WhatsApp, video walkthroughs, flexible timelines. You will never wonder whether I got your message.
No templates
Every detail is built for your story. Nothing is copied from the couple before you.
Slow, on purpose
This is not a rush. It is a pause. We honour slowness, presence and Leave No Trace, always.
Amber was absolutely amazing to work with from our first call to the final pictures. Not only did the pictures she took showcase our special day perfectly, but she also made the entire experience easy and stress-free. I highly recommend eloping with this wonderful crew.

No hidden travel fees, anywhere in Madeira
Every package includes my travel costs to any corner of the island, transportation between locations, planning and coordination, and all permit acquisition costs.
Whether you want to be married on a sea cliff in Ponta de Sao Lourenco or above the clouds on Pico do Arieiro, you will never be surprised by an extra photographer travel fee. The price you see is the price you pay. Accommodation and meals are the only things you book yourself, and I send you the links.
Why is accommodation not included anymore?
Because couples kept paying me to book hotels they could have booked better themselves. You know what you like, what you want to spend, and whether you want a cliffside quinta or a small place in Funchal. I send you a custom itinerary with clickable links to the hotels I would choose for your route, and you book them in about ten minutes. It keeps the package honest and it keeps your money where it belongs.
The same applies to meals. I give you restaurant recommendations for every day of the plan. You choose what you feel like eating.
We are pretty chill, but cameras make us awkward. Any tips?
Almost nobody is comfortable in front of a camera at first, and you do not need to be. Look at my portfolio: none of those couples are posing. I use a non-invasive approach that keeps you in the moment with each other rather than performing for me. I give you something to do, not something to hold.
Within twenty minutes most couples forget I am there. That is the whole trick, and it is on me, not on you.
What happens if the weather turns?
Madeira has microclimates. It can be raining in Funchal and clear above the clouds forty minutes away, which is exactly why I plan alternates for every location. On a one-day package we shift the route. On two and three-day packages we can move whole days around.
And rain is not the enemy. Some of the best images I have ever made happened in fog, in drizzle, in weather other photographers would call off. We roll with what the island gives us.
Do you photograph at night as well as during the day?
Yes. Madeira has very dark skies once you get away from the coast, and a night session on a volcanic ridge under the stars is one of the more extraordinary things you can do here. If you want it, we build it into the timeline.
Can you handle the logistics and coordinate with other vendors?
That is most of what I do. Timing, locations, permits, routes, vendors, backups. If you take the vendor add-on, I source and coordinate hair, makeup, florals and a celebrant directly, so you are not emailing strangers in Portuguese.
If you prefer to book your own vendors, I still give you my shortlist and I still coordinate with them on the day.
How many guests can we bring?
Up to twenty. That is the ceiling where an elopement still feels like an elopement. If it is just the two of you, even better. Both work, and neither changes the price.
What equipment do you use?
Equipment does not make the photographer, but the right tools help. I shoot on two Nikon D800 bodies with a range of professional lenses, and I sometimes bring a Mavic Air 2 drone for aerial work where regulations allow it.
How many photos will we receive?
A one-day elopement usually delivers between 200 and 400 images. Two and three-day packages typically land between 400 and 800. I care far more about quality than volume, so every image you receive has been chosen and edited deliberately.
Do you provide prints and albums?
An accordion album is included in every package and ships to your home. Your gallery also links directly to print and framing options through labs I have used for years, colour-calibrated to my editing so what arrives looks like what you saw.
You are free to print anywhere you like. The goal is that these images end up on a wall, not just on a hard drive.
Can we legally marry in Madeira?
Portugal allows foreign couples to marry legally, though the paperwork takes planning and the ceremony has to happen in an authorised setting. Many of my couples handle the legal signature at home and hold a symbolic ceremony on the cliff, which gives you total freedom over the location. I will walk you through both options on our first call.
