Hi, my name is Amber, your personal elopement photographer and guide throughout your elopement adventure. As an adventurer, nature lover, and self-confessed introvert I have been capturing elopement moments on camera for couples such as yourselves all over the world. As a professional travel planner, I have helped adventurous couples plan their elopements across 43 countries all over the world. I have hiked to the most beautiful destinations – from the top of the Swiss Alps down to the crystal clear lakes of New Zealand and across the meadows of Sweden, but for me, Fiji stands out in my mind as one of the most pristine elopement destinations.

It is my absolute favorite thing to plan a complete elopement experience for elopement couples who don’t want the pressure of hiring a huge wedding venue with hundreds of guests and elaborate decorations. It is possible to visit the most beautiful parts of Fiji in only 3 days and have an amazing time. The 3 day package is an amazing adventure where you’ll enjoy seeing the best of what Fiji has to offer.

We typically use the first day to go to the location where the ceremony will take place and take amazing engagement photos along the way. Then, on the next day, the entire elopement would be captured and the third day would be for photos after the wedding. You can use your wedding clothing for this third day. This package is great if you want to have pictures in your wedding clothes in different types of landscapes!

The number of couples who have had this concern can literally be counted on one hand. By the time you have viewed my work, you will have noticed that no one had awkward smiles or looked frightened out of their wits. This is because of my years of experience with photographing a range of couples with different personality types. It has allowed me to become quite adept at working on their comfort levels. I find that my subtle, non-invasive approach when photographing helps to keep couples engaged in the present moment process of their experience and they tend to relax and forget their shyness.

This is a commonly asked question! Unfortunately, due to the nature of pre-booked engagements, I am unable to change dates to accommodate the weather. The good news is that I am the type of person who embraces whatever life brings my way and I encourage couples to do the same. It is important to remember that the success of a wedding day does not have to depend on perfect weather. Even if you don’t get the perfect sunset you set your heart on, the two of you can decide to live large and be in the moment, no matter what the day throws at you. Actually, I love rainy days as they have produced some of the most unusual killer photos for my couples.

I love to do both, especially at an epic location chosen for its spectacular star-spangled night skies.

The short answer is ‘Yes’! Not only will you have a VERY comprehensive package that includes an experienced guide to help you with all logistics, but you will also have my personal attention and guidance to make sure that everything is tailored to suit your needs. I understand how overwhelming it can be to plan a wedding elopement, but rest assured that I will take the load off your shoulders so that you can focus on each other and enjoy all the fun parts!

In my experience, most couples who choose to elope have a ‘just us’ approach without any guests but you are welcome to have some of your closest friends and loved ones share your important day with you. I am able to handle elopement adventures of up to 20 guests.

Although it is my belief that the equipment I use does not make a successful photo shoot, the quality of equipment used is very important. For my work, I use professional photographic equipment like two Nikon D80 bodies with professional lenses and a Mavic Air 2 drone to provide some super-cool perspectives.

If you are aware of the different legal procedures required for getting married in other states or countries it makes things easier. Some procedures are not that big a deal while others can be somewhat confusing to navigate. If you are nervous about planning around the legalities of marriage outside of your own state, we recommend taking care of all the paperwork at home before traveling to your wedding location. Paperwork is literally just that, paperwork, and I believe that it should not have a bearing on how you plan the taking of your vows and celebrating at the location of your choice. My advice is – don’t sweat the small stuff!

The answer is yes. This is a favorite part of my job where I get to spend hours happily exploring suitable locations by scouring google maps, doing research on secluded and unusual locations, and finding just the right spots to add to my bucket list of amazing elopement adventures. As a matter of fact, most of the couples I have worked with did not have a location picked out when they reached out to me. Once you have decided to book your elopement adventure through me I will be happy to share all my location information with you to help your choose the perfect spot to start your new journey in life together.

Absolutely! As a professional traveler, I love constantly planning travels to new places in new countries. I also use resources like guidebooks, google earth, and do a huge amount of online research to help me find just the right location that will suit the personal preferences and requirements of couples. In addition, I have also joined a few worldwide wedding vendor networks that provide me with amazing resources for things like makeup, hair, flowers, and many other vendors. I have vast experience in remote wedding planning and am just as confident in my abilities to plan wedding adventures in a new place as I am at a place where I have done lots of photoshoots before.

Everything around Covid regulations seems to be up in the air at the moment, however, as part of my job I ensure that photography is one thing that will not cause additional stress. In general, deposits are non-refundable, however, I will do my best to work out a flexible arrangement that will provide a win-win situation to ensure that you will still have a beautiful elopement adventure in the end. With more than a year of solving Covid-related problems under our belt, we are confident that we can work out a plan for all involved such as rescheduling, restructuring, transferring a deposit towards a portrait session, or anything in between!

Because of a constantly evolving pricing structure and my travel schedule I generally don’t like to book for more than 18 months in advance. Typically I like to book elopement adventures anywhere from 2 – 12 months in advance and like to leave room for last-minute elopements as well. So if you are planning to elope within the next few weeks you should definitely reach out as I might just have a space that suits your timeframe.

The number of photos taken will vary by time and session, but generally, I usually take between 400 – 800 photos for large weddings while elopements usually range between 200 – 400. For a couple sessions, I usually take around 100 photos. Because I believe in quality over quantity, I aim to send the best of the best shots so that you can enjoy your special day for many years to come.

All your photos will be downloaded to an online gallery where you have the option of ordering professional prints, frames, and announcements through my professional lab partners. I take great care to test the prints and colors against my partner lab printers to ensure that your photos will be printed beautifully and accurately.
I also provide archival heirloom albums so that you can choose your favorite photos and I will design your layout for you. Please email me for more information on specific information on my albums.
Personal printing preferences are all yours and you do not have to print through me if you already have a local lab that you prefer to use.
