Costa Rica is the kind of place that makes you feel something before you’ve even gotten your bearings. There’s no shortage of wild. What’s harder to find is someone who knows exactly where to take you, and how to build a day that doesn’t feel like a tour.
That’s where our team comes in. Amber, our founder and Elopement Wizard, brings 13 years of experience to the location research and personally creates every itinerary. Danielle, Deborah or Julie then accompanies you as your photographer and guide, with your photographer confirmed before you book. For up to five elopements a year worldwide, Amber also steps behind the camera through The Amber Collection.

Every collection brings together a personally designed itinerary and a photographer who guides you on your accompanied days. The seven-day journey then leaves four days for just the two of you.
Location research
Amber researches places around your vision, your pace, and the kind of quiet you are looking for. Waterfalls, forest trails, a patch of coast that feels like yours. A considered selection, with alternatives built in.
Your personal itinerary
Amber creates the route and timeline herself, balancing travel time, light, and room to breathe. Hotel and restaurant recommendations come with direct booking links for anything you arrange separately.
On-the-ground guiding
On your guided days, your photographer takes care of transport between planned locations, navigation, and changes along the way. Danielle, Deborah, Julie, or Amber through The Amber Collection: you know who is joining you before you book.

Every itinerary starts with Amber. Most of our elopements are photographed and guided by Danielle, Deborah or Julie. Your photographer is introduced and confirmed before you book, subject to availability.

I still create every itinerary. Finding the right places, understanding what matters to you, and making the whole journey feel like it fits is the part I never wanted to hand over.
For 13 years, I have planned and photographed elopements in remote places. My photography has received 250+ international awards, with recognition from WPJA, Wedaward and Wedisson, and features in Cosmopolitan and Junebug Weddings.
The Amber Collection is for couples who would like me to photograph and guide their adventure personally. I accept a maximum of five elopements per year worldwide. It has its own pricing and depends on my travel dates.

Choose 1, 3 or 7 days, then the photographer whose work feels like you. Amber creates every itinerary. The partner collections are photographed and guided by Danielle, Deborah or Julie; The Amber Collection is photographed and guided by Amber herself.
Our signature is three days, fully accompanied. The seven-day collection combines three accompanied days with four independent self-drive days. Accommodation starts with the three-day collection; ceremony suppliers are included in the seven-day collection.

Amber designs one day around a region that feels right for you, with a few carefully chosen places and enough time to enjoy them. Your photographer guides you, handles the route, and captures the whole thing. Say your vows somewhere wild, then follow the light a little further.

Time to arrive, make your promises, and stay in the feeling.
Three days give your story room to unfold. An afternoon exploring together, your ceremony woven into the landscape, a morning when being newly married is the only thing on your mind. Amber creates the journey; your photographer accompanies and photographs all three days. Two nights of accommodation for the two of you are included.

Three days together. Four days to let the rest of the world wait.
Begin with three days accompanied by your photographer, including your ceremony and time to explore. Then take the keys for four independent days, following the self-drive itinerary Amber creates for you. Your week includes six nights of accommodation and your ceremony essentials, leaving you room to linger wherever you feel at home.

The four self-drive days are independent, without photography or an accompanying guide. Meals, drinks, flights, optional activities, and legal paperwork are not included. Rental car terms are confirmed in your proposal.

The Amber Collection is limited to five personally photographed elopements per year worldwide. Accommodation, routes, supplier arrangements, and rental car terms are set out in your proposal before you book.

Photography with your confirmed partner or Amber, followed by a private online gallery of carefully edited images.
Photographer travel
Your photographer’s travel and accommodation costs are included for the agreed itinerary. Your own international flights are separate.
Slideshow
A cinematic edit of your day set to music, ready to share with the people you love.
Accordion album
A physical album mailed to your home. Something you can hold and leave on a table.
Recommendations & links
Hotel and restaurant recommendations, with direct links for bookings outside your collection. Two accommodation nights are included with Quetzal and six with Lluvia.
Thoughtful support
Amber helps you prepare before you arrive. Your photographer accompanies you on your guided days, and our team follows through to delivery of your photographs.
Lluvia includes a symbolic ceremony officiant, a bouquet, a boutonniere, and ceremony-day hair and makeup. For Selva and Quetzal, these services can be quoted separately in your proposal. Meals and drinks remain separate in every collection.
