FRANCE AND WORLDWIDE

The top 10 wedding venues in France

Ah! France! What an amazing country, filled with beautiful and varied landscapes, delicious food and wines, and history chateaux that will make your heart skip a beat. It’s the country of romance at heart, filled with secret gardens and magnificent views, perfect for wedding pictures! As I’ve shot in many venues all around France, I started to see which ones were the most beautiful, the most convenient and the most romantic. I know planning a destination wedding is difficult, especially when you don’t know where to start. I’ve wrote an article covering just that subject, and once you’re read it, I also made a list just for you, to choose your wedding venue in France with peace.

The top 10 wedding venues in France

Château Saint Georges (by the sea, beautiful scenery)

Château de la Chèvre d’Or (magnificent panoramic view on the mediterranean sea, not technically a chateau)

Grand hôtel du Cap Ferrat (beautiful rooms, perfect for a wedding by the sea)

Château de Maulmont (perfect to host 50 guests and counting, a beautiful park)

Château de Challain (perfect for weddings and elopements)

Château de Vaux le Vicomte (absolutely stunning location)

Domaine les Andéols (perfect for a wedding in Provence)

La Bastide de Gordes (nestled in a perched village in Luberon)

Chateau de la Canière (perfect to host family and friends, with a beautiful scenery)

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild (gorgeous gardens perfect for a reception outdoors, by the sea)

Seems like these venues are all different one from another. So it might be a good idea to first ask yourself what kind of wedding you want to have, what are the main amenities you need on site (hosting for your guests, reception hall for more than 50 persons, a garden for the ceremony, a view, luxurious rooms, a swimming pool, by the sea, etc.). Those are all valid needs you need to pinpoint in order to choose your wedding venue in France properly. To help you out, I’ve made a list of all the wedding venues I know in France, classified by category. You can also check out a list of wedding venues by region of France.

If you love the sea, you may want a wedding venue by the sea or the ocean. You can have a ceremony on the beach, and a reception by the sea, with the soft sound of the waves.

As you plan a destination wedding, hosting your guests might be a little bit of a nightmare. So I made a list of my favorite wedding venues in France with accomodation for your guests.

If you’re a little bit like me, you love nature. Trees and bushes don’t have any secrets for you, and having a ceremony outside is important for you. I have been in many wedding venues in France with a fairytale garden, so you can see my favorites!

Sometimes, weddings car be little and intimate, and sometimes they can be big and luxurious. Here are some wedding venues in France with a big reception hall to accomodate all your guests!

And since wedding pictures are my specialty, I’ve also looked into wedding venues with a view, wether it’s a mountain, sea or countryside view.

And last but not least, if you want something luxurious and elite, I’ve made a list of my favorite high end wedding venues in France (mainly Paris, but some are also in Province).
