Hey! I’m Amber, a Provence-based elopement planner and photographer. I grew up here and I still live here. This isn’t a destination I drop into, it’s my actual life. My daughter goes to school here, this is where I come back to, where I breathe, where I know every damn corner that matters. My dad was a forest ranger, so I didn’t grow up in postcard Provence. I grew up getting lost in forests, finding villages no one talks about, taking roads that look like a bad idea and usually aren’t. I’ve spent years traveling the world shooting elopements, but this is where I know things for real. Not the obvious spots. Not the crowded bullshit. Common questions about eloping in the South of France
Can we get legally married in France as foreigners?
No, France requires a 30–40 day residency to legally marry here. But most of my couples take care of the paperwork at home and come here for the real celebration.
Can you provide sample itineraries for inspiration?
Absolutely. While each South of France elopement is 100% custom, I can send you a few ideas to inspire your journey.
When should we book?
Anywhere between 2 weeks and 3 months before your date is perfect. Last-minute escapes are welcome.
Are there any hidden fees?
None. Everything is transparent, with no surprise charges later.
Do you work with specific venues or vendors?
No venues. No chains. Every elopement is handcrafted from the ground up, using local, trusted artisans and secret locations only known to those who live here.
Can you help us with travel tips?
Yes! I offer travel support, accommodation suggestions, and maps to help make your trip smooth and magical.
Will you be the one photographing our elopement?
Actually yes! As I live in the area, I won’t give your elopement to one of my trusted partners. The prices I offer are super custom to local elopements.
When is the best time to elope in the South of France?
Avoid visiting in winter if possible. The Mistral wind brings a biting cold, the trees are bare and unappealing, and the narrow village streets can feel especially chilly when the wind picks up. May and September are fantastic times to visit! Summer can also be enjoyable, but be prepared for intense heat (temperatures often reach 100–110°F), though the dry climate makes it a bit more bearable. You can discover all the tips on my guide.
Where can we elope in the South of France?
You have a LOT of options! Tranquil village streets, mountaintops, forests, old chapels, lavender fields (end of June), on the beach, in old ruins…the possibilities are truly endless and I’m here to bring your vision to life!
Can we elope in a lavender field?
Yes, absolutely, and it’s magical! The best time for a lavender field elopement in Provence is from late June to mid-July, when the blooms are at their most vibrant. If you’re dreaming of a slightly later date, higher-altitude fields (like in Sault) can still be in bloom through the end of July. I know some gorgeous, off-the-beaten-path fields (exit Valensole!) that are perfect for a private, unforgettable ceremony.
