Recounted by Zephyr & Luna, family photographer in St Tropez
When my nice colleague Flora, family photographer in St Tropez, contacted me to ask me to photograph her pretty toddlers, I can assure you that the stress did not leave me any more.
His work is fabulous and I certainly did not feel up to it. Photographing colleagues is always tricky because we know they have very specific expectations when it comes to rendering. And basically I’m not a family photographer in St Tropez, but I assure you it does not lack.
So we found a place to take pictures on the beach, at sunset, in a totally relaxed atmosphere: the customs path, next to Ramatuelle. We spent a nice evening joking, dipping our feet in the water and finding extraordinary places to capture fleeting and precious moments.
Then, Flora told me of his desire to capture the setting sun. We were on a beach facing East, so we said that we had a beautiful sky but no sun strictly speaking. So we turned back, jumped in their car, and made a small race against the clock to climb on the nearest pass and run through a forest of green oaks to catch the last rays of this summer sun. We listened together to the songs of the cicadas, replaced little by little by the summer crickets, and we laughed admiring for the last time of the day the beautiful red color of the summer sun. The children ran and we chatted, forgetting for a moment the small car race that we had just done (crossing twice the village of Ramatuelle because we were wrong street …).
It was a memorable experience, and I loved living these moments with this wonderful family. I would love to have the opportunity to come back as a family photographer in St Tropez!
I let you discover this session in pictures.
