What they have to say about their adventure

All the best for your future 💛

Reflections on the day
As I stood on the windswept Snaefellsnes peninsula (Iceland), capturing the intimate moments of this elopement in Iceland, I couldn’t help but feel a wave of emotions wash over me. The sense of adventure in the air was palpable, as the couple braved the elements to create memories that would last a lifetime.
There is something truly special about elopements – the raw, unfiltered connection between two people that transcends any external factors. As a witness to these moments, I am constantly reminded of the power of love and the courage it takes to embark on a journey together, hand in hand.
The day was filled with challenges, from the yellow alert warning for wind to the freezing temperatures that followed us throughout our locations. But despite it all, there was a sense of calm and joy that radiated from the couple. They laughed in the face of adversity, embracing each moment with grace and a sense of adventure.
I couldn’t help but reflect on my own journey as a photographer during this elopement. The growth and evolution I have experienced have been profound, as I learn to truly connect with my subjects and capture the essence of their love story. It is moments like these that remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place – the ability to freeze time and immortalize emotions in a single frame.
As the sun dipped below the snowy mountains, casting a golden hue over the landscape, I knew that this elopement would forever hold a special place in my heart. It was a testament to the power of love, the beauty of nature, and the spirit of adventure that permeates every corner of this world.
So here’s to the couples who dare to be different, who choose love above all else, and who trust me to capture their most intimate moments. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey, for trusting me to tell your story, and for reminding me why I am so passionate about what I do. Here’s to many more adventures, many more laughs, and many more magical sunsets. Cheers to love, to life, and to the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
Behind the scenes of their Snaefellsnes elopement
A short anecdote: This couple planned to elope on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, but an orange weather alert issued the day before their ceremony posed unexpected challenges. Instead of altering their plans completely, we decided to brave the elements. While we shifted the ceremony from the planned outdoor location in front of the black church to the hotel’s lobby, which offered stunning mountain views, we ventured out afterward to capture some breathtaking, albeit chilly, photos around the peninsula, embracing the adventurous spirit of their special day.
This elopement won 11 international photography awards
