What they have to say about their adventure

If you are thinking of eloping, look no further. We just got married last month and havent stopped talking about how amazing it was to work with Amber for our day. We were so unsure about the process of eloping in a country we have not even been to before, but when we saw all the reviews and photos on Zephyr and Luna’s website, we knew it could work.

We set up our first call with Amber to talk about our vision, and she was able to find small details and make them magical. She helped us locate the perfect place to get married and stay, and it was so easy to follow her lead.

On the day, she took us on a literal adventure around Iceland, getting to see locations and scenery that we would not have found on our own. She took every part from the first phone call, and made it a reality. She was so good at directing us in the photos so that the final result came out perfect. I have not stopped staring at the pictures to this day, they turned out truly amazing. You can tell that Amber loves what she does, and that is exactly what you want on your wedding day. The day was fun, full of adventure, easy, and magical. Take this as your sign to book your first call with this beautiful business. You will not regret it.

Reflections on the day

The wind whispered through the rugged terrain, carrying with it the promise of adventure and unknown beauty. As I ventured further into the Icelandic wilderness near Reykjavik, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the natural world surrounding me. The sweeping landscapes, dotted with moss-covered rocks and cascading waterfalls, seemed to beckon me closer, inviting me to discover their hidden secrets.

As I set up my camera and prepared to capture the unfolding scenes before me, I couldn’t help but reflect on my own journey as a photographer. The path that had led me to this moment, where I stood in the midst of such breathtaking beauty, was filled with twists and turns, challenges and triumphs. Each step had brought me closer to honing my craft, to understanding the intricate dance between light and shadow, between composition and emotion.

In that moment, as my lens focused on a couple exchanging vows against the backdrop of a majestic waterfall, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities that photography had brought into my life. The ability to freeze a moment in time, to capture the raw emotion and unspoken words shared between two people, was a gift that I cherished with every fiber of my being.

The couple, with their easy laughter and genuine affection for one another, reminded me of the power of love and connection in a world that often seemed cold and chaotic. As I clicked the shutter and immortalized their love story in pixels, I knew that I was witnessing something truly special, something that would stay with me long after the memory cards were filled and the batteries drained.

As the sun dipped below the horizon and painted the sky in a riot of colors, I packed up my gear and began the journey back to civilization. But the images I had captured, the moments I had witnessed, would linger in my mind and heart for days to come. This full-day adventure elopement near Reykjavik had been more than just another photo shoot – it had been a transformative experience, a reminder of why I had chosen to pursue photography in the first place.

As I drove away, content in the knowledge that I had done justice to the beauty of the Icelandic landscapes and the love shared by the couple, I couldn’t help but smile. This was what it meant to be a photographer – to be part of something bigger, something timeless and magical. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Behind the scenes of their Reykjavik elopement

A short anecdote: During this Reykjavik elopement, we made a stop at an unexpected yet deeply meaningful location—two sunken whaling ships, taken down by Sea Shepherd in their fight for ocean conservation. As I photographed the couple against the rusted remains, I couldn’t help but feel the weight of the moment. The cause of protecting the oceans has always been close to my heart, and knowing that part of my work helps support Sea Shepherd made this moment even more powerful. It was a quiet, reflective pause in an otherwise adventure-filled day—a reminder that love, like activism, is about standing for what truly matters.
