Can you legally elope in Corsica?
A civil ceremony requires at least one partner to have been a resident in France for 40 days before the date. For couples who do not meet this requirement, a symbolic or handfasting ceremony works beautifully and has the same emotional weight. What is the best time of year for a Corsica elopement?
Late May through June and September through October are the strongest windows. The mountain passes are clear of snow, the light is warm and directional, and the island has not yet reached peak summer crowds. July and August are workable but require earlier golden hour starts and higher altitude locations to avoid heat and foot traffic.
Do you plan the full day or just photograph it?
Both. Every elopement I take on is fully planned from the ground up: locations, timeline, officiant, local vendors, permits where needed, and a logistics backup for weather. You receive a detailed day-of plan before you arrive. You show up. I handle the rest.
How far in advance should we book?
