What they have to say about their adventure

Eloping in the Asturias mountains with Amber was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we met, we felt like we were simply hanging out with a good friend—laughing, exploring, and taking photos that perfectly captured the joy of our day. The breathtaking results left us speechless, and every moment felt genuine and full of love. Amber’s attention to detail, her passion for what she does, and the care she put into every aspect of our elopement made it all feel so special. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect way to begin our journey together!

Reflections on the day

As I look back on the beautiful elopement day I recently had the privilege of capturing in Asturias (Spain), I am filled with a sense of awe and gratitude. The Swiss-type landscapes provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and incredible beauty.

Watching the couple exchange vows against the backdrop of towering mountains and lush forests, I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of appreciation for the natural world and the way it can enhance and elevate our most important moments. The way the light played off the rocks and trees, casting a warm glow over everything it touched, reminded me of the power and beauty of nature.

But it wasn’t just the scenery that made this day so special. The couple’s adventurous spirits and relaxed attitudes made them an absolute joy to work with. From climbing rocks to get the perfect shot to dancing in the mountains at sunset, they embraced each moment with a sense of joy and spontaneity that was truly infectious.

As I reflect on my personal journey as a photographer, I am struck by how much I have grown and evolved in my craft. I have learned to trust my instincts and follow my artistic vision, even when it means taking risks or trying something new. I have embraced the unknown and pushed myself to explore different styles and techniques, always seeking to improve and grow as an artist.

But perhaps the most profound lesson I have learned is the importance of capturing emotion and connection in my work. It is not enough to simply take a beautiful picture; I must also strive to capture the essence of the moment, the feelings and emotions that make it truly special. This elopement day in Asturias was a perfect example of that. The laughter, the tears, the love that radiated between the couple – those are the moments I live for as a photographer.

So as I look back on this incredible day, I am filled with a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to witness and capture such a beautiful love story. It is a reminder of why I fell in love with photography in the first place – the ability to freeze moments in time, to tell stories without words, to connect with people in a deep and meaningful way. And I am grateful for every couple who invites me to be a part of their special day, to share in their joy and capture their memories for a lifetime.

Behind the scenes of their Asturias elopement

A short anecdote: As we were wrapping up their elopement in the stunning Asturias mountains, the weather was so perfect that we spontaneously ditched our dinner reservation. We stopped at a tiny shop owned by a sweet old lady, where we picked up fresh cheese, bread, biscuits, and fruit, creating the most memorable impromptu picnic on the side of the road.
