What they have to say about their adventure
Words can’t even begin to describe how incredible our 7-day elopement experience in Iceland was. From the moment we landed, every moment felt like stepping into a different world, filled with breathtaking landscapes and surreal beauty. The itinerary was beyond perfect—taking us to some of Iceland’s most hidden gems, places we’d never imagined we’d get to see. Each day was filled with adventure and magic, from standing by powerful waterfalls to wandering across black sand beaches, and even exploring the stunning glaciers and volcanic fields. We felt like we were part of the landscape, and each location had something unique and special to offer.
The memories we made during those seven days will stay with us forever, but the photos—oh, the photos! They’re more than just pictures; they’ve captured the essence of the adventure, our love, and the raw beauty of Iceland. Every time we look at them, we’re transported right back to those magical moments. It was more than we could have ever hoped for. This was more than just a wedding or a vacation—it was the most meaningful, heartfelt experience of our lives, and we’ll cherish it forever. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to begin our journey as a married couple.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our Iceland elopement an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Reflections on the day
As I sit here, reflecting on the breathtaking adventure elopement I had the honor of capturing in Iceland, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. Whitney and Ben’s decision to forego a traditional wedding in favor of a 7-day journey to one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in the world was bold and beautiful.
As their photographer, I was tasked with not only documenting their love and commitment to each other but also with capturing the essence of their adventurous spirits. From the moment they exchanged vows by a stunning waterfall to the final moments of their journey on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, every shot I took was a celebration of their wild and free hearts.
What struck me most about Whitney and Ben was their unwavering sense of calm and ease throughout the entire experience. Despite the unpredictable weather and rugged terrain, they approached each day with a sense of curiosity and wonder that was truly inspiring. It was as if they were in perfect harmony with the elements, embracing every new challenge as an opportunity for growth and discovery.
As I watched them navigate the rocky cliffs and icy waters, I couldn’t help but see reflections of my own journey as a photographer. Like Whitney and Ben, I have had to learn to embrace the unknown, to trust in the process, and to let go of expectations in order to create truly authentic and meaningful work. It is a lesson that continues to challenge and shape me, pushing me to explore new horizons and push beyond my comfort zone.
In the end, Whitney and Ben’s adventurous elopement in Iceland was not just a celebration of their love, but a reminder of the power of vulnerability and openness in the creative process. Through their journey, I was able to witness the beauty of simplicity, the magic of spontaneity, and the joy of true connection. And for that, I will be forever grateful.
Behind the scenes of their Iceland waterfall elopement
A short anecdote: We had everything set for the couple to exchange their vows by one of Iceland’s tallest waterfalls, but on the morning of the ceremony, a yellow weather alert hit, and the road was unexpectedly closed. I knew we had to act fast, so I found a beautiful alternative nearby—two waterfalls that merged into one. It ended up being even more perfect than the original plan! The couple had mentioned in their vows that they were two people uniting as one, and this setting reflected that in the most magical way. Sometimes, the unexpected leads to something even better!
