Hi you! I am Amber. I am both your professional photographer and guide on this journey.

I am a self-proclaimed nature lover and adventurer.

My favorite thing in life is being able to help capture the joy of elopement for people like you. Getting eloped comes with many advantages that you simply cannot get with a traditional wedding. You don’t have the excess pressure of renting out a large space and inviting, paying for, and having to entertain hundreds of guests. Nor do you have to worry about installing elaborate decorations just to have something special. Instead, you get to focus on what’s important – joining your significant other in matrimony.

I am a fully experienced and qualified travel planner. I’ve been helping couples in love just like you plan these types of special elopements for a long time and across 43 different countries. While I have hiked to the northernmost point of the Swiss Alps and other amazing places, the Azores holds a special place in my heart and I deem it one of the best destinations I’ve ever been to.

Typically, we go to the location of the ceremony on the very first day. At this point, we will start taking some breathtaking engagement photos. We will then move on to capturing your entire elopement day on the second day of the trip. The trip will be capped with the most epic day of post-wedding photos with both of you dressed in your gorgeous wedding attire. Having such a range allows me to capture you and your loved one in your wedding attire at various locales throughout the Azores to give you plenty to showcase in the future.

Honestly, this is a major concern for pretty much anyone. You aren’t alone. Not everyone has experience working with a camera. If you check out our work, you can tell that we know how to get the best out of couples. You won’t find a single picture of our couple looking like a deer in headlights. Why is that? I’ve had plenty of experience working with untrained models. I’ve been professionally photographing couples for years. I know how to work with different personalities and I am incredibly adaptable. I do everything in my power to make everyone feel comfortable. My goal is to keep you two engaged with one another. I know how to handle any situation thrown at me. This should be the least of your concern.

This is a very good question. Because of the nature of photography, I cannot be flexible with dates caused by inclement weather. However, I am someone that can embrace anything that is thrown at us while we are out. It’s best to bring the same attitude and spirit! You don’t need a picturesque sunrise or sunset to come out with incredible photos. Living in the moment is what you need to do and I’ve captured some of the best photos in rainy conditions. It makes for a very unique scene and showcases the unpredictability of life!

Yes, I shoot both day and night. If you’ve always wanted nighttime shots of your elopement, I’ve got you covered! The Azores makes for one of the best places to consider adding nighttime shots with magical wilderness as a backdrop.

Absolutely! I will not only deliver you the most comprehensive guide on the Azores and everything you need, but you will also get me to guide you through the process. Everything can get overwhelming. This is why I make it my job to take the reigns and allow you to have fun. I’ll make your entire trip more enjoyable by taking on all of the stressful aspects of planning an elopement.

The majority of couples I work with tend to have a “just the two of us” experience. The majority don’t invite guests. However, it doesn’t matter if you want to invite your closest loved ones. The more the merrier! I can take on as many as 20 guests comfortably.

I believe that equipment doesn’t make the photographer. Despite this, I know how important professional equipment is to the results. Because of this, I use highly professional equipment including 2 Nikon D800 bodies, the highest quality lenses, and a Mavic Air 2 drone for the most unique shots.

It can be difficult if you don’t have experience. There tend to be different legalities that come into play when you are getting married in different states and countries. Some of these differences are minor and some are a bigger deal. For anyone that doesn’t want to deal with these issues, you could always get it sorted at home. It comes down to paperwork. It’s not a big deal. Your marriage can be deemed truly official once you’ve exchanged vows. It’s best not to worry and stress about the little stuff.

This is one of the main reasons I love my job so much! I have explored and continue to explore different areas of the world. I scour Google Maps and try to research so many different locations that no one would even think about. The majority of the couples that I’ve worked with in the past are just like you. They don’t have a specific location in mind. However, they know they want a place that is special, unique, and adventurous. As soon as you book your elopement with me, I will help you find the most ideal place to get eloped. It’s a very fun process we can go through together.

No worries! I have a lot of experience as a traveler. I am constantly on the search for new travels for myself. It’s not an issue if you want to elope somewhere I haven’t been. I utilize the best resources and know how to research to find the perfect locations to check out no matter if I’ve been there or not! I am also a part of a very large network of professional wedding vendors. Therefore, I can be a major asset to help you identify flower shops, officiants, hair and makeup artists, and more. I’ve had great success planning all kinds of weddings with limited knowledge of the destination. I am 100% confident in my abilities to help you plan your next elopement despite not having visited it previously.

COVID-19 has certainly put a dent in a lot of plans. While COVID-19 and the restrictions set forth are out of my control, I will do everything in my power to ensure that the photography portion of your elopement isn’t what causes you stress. The deposits I take are non-refundable. However, I will do my best to ensure everything goes according to plan. I always try to work out a win-win to ensure that you have the best elopement day possible. I now have over a year of experience working with COVID issues. Therefore, I have full confidence that we can make it work no matter what it throws at us. Whether it’s restructuring the package, rescheduling, or putting the deposit towards a portrait session, we can make it work.

I tend to try to keep my bookings as flexible as possible. I have a busy travel schedule. Because of this, I generally try not to book any elopements or weddings over 18 months in advance. I usually like to book them within 2 to 12 months of the scheduled date. I also try to leave some room for those who want to elope last minute. Don’t be afraid to reach out if you are looking to plan a rather spontaneous elopement! I might have an open space available.

The number of photos will typically vary based on the time and session. However, for larger weddings, it’s usually around 400 to 800 photos. Whereas, for elopements, I usually deliver around 200 to 400 photos. A couples session typically has around 100 photos in total. I always strive for quality over quantity. All of the photos delivered will be of high quality.

I deliver all of my photos to an online gallery. It’s there where you will have the option to purchase them in print quality. You can purchase prints, frames, and announcements through a lab I’ve partnered with. All of the photos have been tested on my lab’s designated printers to ensure that you get the highest quality and most color-accurate prints. I even offer archival heirloom albums that you can order. You’ll be tasked with choosing your favorite photos and I will design the layout for you. You can always email me if you have specific requests for your albums.

You do not need to feel obligated to print through me either. If you have another lab or service you’d prefer, by all means! The photos are yours and you can do what you want with them!
